Daily Yopp! 3.12.17 - Ides of Trump Postcard Campaign

- Soothsayer to Julius Caesar in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar

Would you like to be a part of a Postcard Avalanche? On Wednesday, March 15, thousands of postcards will be dropped in the mail for delivery to Caesar Trump. Here's your chance to be a part of an epistolary protest.

This particular action is being promoted by several organization and through many different websites, including Solidarity Sundays, the Daily Kos, Facebook groups, and Ides of Trump.

The key idea is to write as many postcards as you can and put them in the mail on Wednesday, March 15. Here's the quick and dirty from Solidarity Sundays:

March 15th is also known as The Ides of March—it’s also the day of the assassination of Julius Caesar. THIS ACTION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH VIOLENCE OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. It’s about postcards. The Ides of Trump is a coordinated nationwide campaign to get people to send postcards to the White House on March 15th, so that a deluge of postcards expressing dissatisfaction arrive in a great big wave. SolSun Hosts will mail all cards on 3/15!
Write one postcard. Write a dozen! Create your own cards, buy them, share them, it doesn’t matter.  You’re free to write whatever you want on the postcards (as long as there are no threats of violence of any kind). Please include #TheIdes or #TheIdesOfTrump on them somewhere.
Take a picture of your cards and post them on social media (tagged with #TheIdesOfTrump or #TheIdes, please).
Address your cards to:
The President (for now)
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500
