Daily Yopp! 1.8.17

Massive mobilization for calling in to your MoC (Members of Congress) starts tomorrow. Be sure to program their numbers in your phone (I recommend both the DC and the local numbers) and set some time aside each day to make those calls. I usually takes me about 5-15 minutes to get all three.

Today's Yopp! is for you to send a brief note or postcard to at least one of your MoCs expressing one concern you've got as we head into confirmation hearings. Include a sentence or two that personalizes your note ("I'm a parent to three lovely children and an avid hiker," "I first voted in 1984 and have not missed an election since," etc). Don't forget to mention what district you are in, and try to resist the urge to give them a laundry list of concerns. Just pick one and write a sentence or two. Get it in the mail tomorrow and it should arrive in a few days.

DO NOT EMAIL! Emails are ignored. Phone calls and letters are the best way to reach out.

Here's a few links to help you get addresses for your MoCs:

**********BONUS ACTION**********

Heading into a critical week confirmation hearings, people from all 50 states are gathering outside Senate offices both in DC and at the state level to send a message to the Senate: Reject Donald Trump's reckless climate denying cabinet appointments.

Every voice counts! If you have the time and ability to get to one of those offices, we really need your presence. Congress is steamrolling over the will of the voters right now. We must take a stand!
